The Newbridge-based charity says more funding is needed to help protect wildlife across Ireland.
Kildare Wildlife Rescue is calling for a nationwide wildlife rehabilitation service with long-term funding to help protect animals and support biodiversity.
The charity opened four years ago, has responded to around 13,000 calls from the public in the last year.
Around 5,000 animals were successfully treated and released back into the wild.
Based in Kildare, the organisation relies heavily on volunteers and donations.
During the summer months, the centre can care for hundreds of animals at a time, including birds, foxes, hedgehogs, and other native species.
Kildare Wildlife Rescue says greater State support would allow more centres to be established around the country and help improve Ireland's response to injured and vulnerable wildlife.
