A new life-saving initiative, called "Message in a Bottle," has been launched by the Naas Lions Club in collaboration with gardai in Kildare and other emergency services.
Initially rolled out in the Naas Garda District, the programme aims to expand to the entire Kildare Division and eventually be implemented nationwide.
The initiative encourages individuals to store their personal and medical details in an easily accessible location for use in emergencies. The recommended spot is the top shelf of the fridge, ensuring that emergency services can quickly locate the information when needed.

Once filled out, the form is placed inside a designated bottle, which is then stored in the fridge.
To ensure the bottle is easily found, two labels are provided: one for the inside of the front door and another for the fridge door.
Each bottle costs €1.
The initiative primarily targets vulnerable individuals, including those living alone, the elderly, and people with medical conditions.
However, it is available to anyone who wishes to participate.
The Message in a Bottle initiative ensures that this critical information is readily available to emergency responders.
The campaign will be launched on Tuesday January 14th at Naas Garda Station.
