The committee backed the creation of an Online Safety Commissioner
An Oireachtas Committee has recommended a new content levy be charged on big streaming services to fund independent productions.
A report from the Media Committee has also said an independent online safety commissioner be set up to police harmful content.

The Committee report says online advertising for fatty foods, alcohol and gambling should be banned.
