Longer term, the Council would like to develop a masterplan for the area.
Kildare County Council has stated that its Parks Section is proposing to install some seating along the walkway at Alexandra Manor in Clane during the year.
The Council has also confirmed that maintenance of the grass along the area will continue as will maintenance of the hedgerow, but no other works are planned.
The news comes following a question raised by Independent Cllr. Padraig McEvoy at the February meeting of the Clane-Maynooth MD, whereby he asked what was planned for the open space on the banks of the Liffey in Clane.
KCC also said that in the long term, it would like to develop a masterplan for the open space at Alexandra Manor to "improve its biodiversity and amenity value."
