New figures show almost one in three Early Years and School Age Care staff in Kildare leave their jobs each year, raising concerns about the sector's long-term sustainability.
New figures show staff turnover remains a significant challenge for Early Years and School Age care providers in Kildare.
Data published by Early Childhood Ireland, using Pobal statistics, shows the average staff turnover rate in Kildare is 30%, with almost one in four staff leaving the sector altogether.
The figures have renewed calls for greater investment in the workforce ahead of Budget 2027.
Including improved pay, increased support for graduate staff, and more funding for professional development.
Campaigners say addressing staff retention is key to maintaining childcare services and ensuring families continue to have access to places across the county.
