While security and day-to-day operations at the camp remain unaffected, the Defence Forces say they could not continue feeding students, resulting in the temporary suspension of on-base training courses, particularly in the Military College.
Students at the Defence Forces Training Centre at the Curragh have had courses disrupted after a Do Not Consume notice was issued for part of the camp’s water supply.
The notice was served on January 15th, on the advice of the HSE, following adverse test results from the Hare Park well.
As a precaution, all water supplied from that well has been restricted.

The Curragh Camp is supplied by two wells - at Hare Park and McDonagh Barracks.
No issues have been identified with the McDonagh well, which continues to supply areas south of Mcswiney Road.
Camp locations north of Mcswiney Road - also known as the Middle Road - are affected, including catering facilities and messes.
Personnel in those areas have been advised not to consume the water.
An update issued today confirms that catering services will resume from Monday, January 19th.
These services will be provided via the McDonagh Catering Centre and Pearse Officers Mess.
As a result, normal routine for all personnel and courses is expected to resume, though some flexibility may be required around meal times and food options.
Works aimed at restoring full service are due to begin on January 19th.
Kfm News reported yesterday how Curragh Community College was also closed following the notice.
