It's an increase of 26 per cent on 2024 and is the biggest annual increase for at least two decades, according to data obtained by the Irish Times.
Most of the incidents reported took place in people's homes, rather than in public spaces.
However, it's believed the true number of victims treated in hospital could be higher, because records only include those serious enough to be admitted for inpatient treatment.
The figures don't include those treated in emergency departments for less serious injuries.
