The number of people hospitalised after cycling crashes increased by almost a third last year.
201 children under 9 years old were among those who needed inpatient care in 2020.

"In 2019, 1,437 people had inpatient admissions in hospital due to a cycling incident or collision.
Last year that rose to 1,888 - involving 1,354 males and 534 females.
501 children were among those hospitalised, along with 71 people over the age of 70.
Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon was recently involved in a serious crash while cycling in Moycullen, Co Galway.
Last year the largest amount of hospitalisations was in the south and southwest of the country, involving 379 admissions.
That's followed by 371 in the hospitals run by the Ireland East Hospital Group. "
