A man in his 50s has died after being hit by a lorry in Cork in the early hours of this morning.

The man's body has been removed from the scene to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem.
No other injuries were reported.
A section of the road remains closed this afternoon and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
