Dr. Tony Holohan signed the Roll of Honorary Freedom
The Chief Medical Officer says he accepted the Freedom of Dublin on behalf of all health care workers.
In a small ceremony last night, Dr Tony Holohan received the award and signed the Roll of Honorary Freedom.
Just 82 people have been granted the prestigious freedom since 1876 with Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa among past recipients
