Six men, convicted of crimes here, have been deported to Nigeria.
They were removed on a charter flight yesterday, which cost over €76,000.
All of these men are Nigerian nationals, aged between 25 and 40, and had been convicted of crimes in Ireland.
They travelled from Dublin to Rome yesterday on a flight chartered by the state, and were then taken onwards to Nigeria by European authorities.
The final cost of the operation is not yet known, but the chartered aircraft cost more than 76 thousand euro for a single flight.
The men were accompanied by Gardaí, medical staff, an interpreter and a human rights observer.
