Govt. Called In To Create Post Office Network Long Term Funding Solution.

IPU says if it fails to act now, it'll lead to permanent post office closures from July 2022.

There's a call on the Government for a long-term funding solution for the Post Office Network.

The Irish Postmasters' Union is making the call, ahead of its Annual Conference this weekend.

It's urging the government to give post offices a fixed state payment to ensure their survival.

Irish Postmasters' Union General Secretary, Ned O'Hara describes how this retainer payment would work for post offices:
