The jury in the trial of Riad Bouchaker has begun its deliberations.
Judge Mr Justice Tony Hunt has asked the nine men and three women to put all emotions firmly to one side and be “objective” and “rational” when considering their verdicts.
Mr Bouchaker, a 52-year-old of no fixed address, has pleaded NOT guilty to eight charges relating to a stabbing at Dublin’s Parnell Square on the 23rd of November 2023.
Alternative verdicts have been opened to the jury in relation to three charges of attempted murder against three children.
