Legislation to establish the first all-Ireland university will be brought to Cabinet on Tuesday.

It follows the announcement of a partnership between Queens University Belfast and Dundalk Institute of Technology last November.

Details around the merging of CAO and UCAS systems, and a new name for DKIT is expected to be announced.
