Gardaí in Dublin arrested a man in his 70s yesterday evening, after a woman was assaulted at a house in Dublin 8.
Officers were called to a home on Ava Maria Road shortly after 7.30pm.
The woman was treated for her injuries at the scene and the man was taken to Kevin Street Garda Station.
He has since been released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
