After the fanfare of last week’s launch at Dublin Castle, the work of the EU Presidency now must get underway.
The Taoiseach will this morning outline Ireland’s priorities between now and the end of the year - namely economic competitiveness, promoting European values, and improving security.
MEPs and political group leaders in the parliament will then get the chance to respond.
Micheál Martin and EU Parliament President Roberta Metsola will also meet and hold a press conference this afternoon.
