The Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage has today (24th of April) published the Monthly Homeless Report for March 2026.
227 adults accessed emergency accommodation in Kildare in March.
It's an increase from February, which was 224.
It follows the latest report from the Monthly Homeless Report for March 2026, from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
Overall, there were 17,517 people homeless in March of this year.
It's an increase of 209 on February's figures.
That figure includes 5,571 children.
The number of children in emergency accommodation rose by 114 since the previous month, overtaking the rise in the number of adults in emergency accommodation, which rose by 95.
