A Norwegian singer has been chosen to represent Ireland at this year's Eurovision with a song about a dog sent into space by the Soviets in 1957.
EMMY overcame a public vote and got the backing of both an Irish and international jury on last night's Late Late show, beating five other hopefuls.
She will now sing her song 'Laika Party' at the semi-finals of the Eurovision in Basel, Switzerland in May.
