It's the highest number since January.
The number of people in hospital with Covid has surpassed 1,000 - for the first time since January 17th.
The number of people with Covid-19 in hospital has risen to 1,042, up from 957 yesterday, while 41 are in ICU.
9,371 new Covid cases have been confirmed today.
There are 2,100 PCR-confirmed cases, while 7,271 people registered a positive antigen test through the HSE portal.
Figures for the weekend have also been released today, which stand at 11,253 for Saturday and 11,266 for Sunday.
On Friday, 9,186 new cases of the virus were confirmed, with a further 6,752 positive antigens registered through the HSE's portal.
Virus experts have warned Covid is likely to spread even further as St Patrick's Day celebrations get under way.
