Free clinics offering the nasal flu vaccine are operating in St. Mary’s Primary Care Centre
742 people are hospitalised with flu today.
Pressure is increasing on acute hospitals in the post-Christmas period, according to the HSE.
It had expected and planned for a surge in hospitalisations.
A HSE spokesperson said the numbers so far are at the upper end of what they had predicted.
Free clinics offering the nasal flu vaccine are scheduled to take place at St. Mary’s Primary Care Centre on Craddockstown Road in Naas.
It is available for children aged 2 to 17 years.
The clinics are open on the following dates and times:
Friday 27 December - 10am to 4pm
Monday 30 December - 10am to 4pm
Thursday 2 January - 10am to 4pm.
No appointment is required.
