The picket by members of Fórsa coincides with a 10-hour work stoppage
Staff at Oberstown Children Detention Campus have brought their protest to the doors of the Department of Children.
The picket by members of Fórsa coincides with a 10-hour work stoppage over resourcing and safety issues.
Members of Fórsa trade union are making their voices heard at the Department of Children this afternoon, as they engage in a third work stoppage so far this month.
They warn the campus is at capacity and it’s putting both staff and young people at risk.
Niall Shanahan from Fórsa says direct talks with Oberstown management broke down last week:
Fórsa members have vowed to continue their action - which includes the possibility of a full withdrawal of labour - for as long as it takes.
