Three men in their 20's were taken to St James's Hospital for treatment.
A teenager has been arrested as part of the investigation into an attack on three tourists in Dublin city centre on Friday night.
It comes amid calls for a greater Garda presence in the capital, following a number of high-profile attacks on tourists in recent weeks.
Gardai at Dublin's Pearse Street say they have detained a 'male teenage juvenile' under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
He's been detained at a city Garda station while the investigation continues.
They say the attack on Fownes Street Upper, shortly after 10pm on Friday night, involved a 'serious assault and robbery'.
The victims of the attack - three men in their 20's - were taken to St James's Hospital for treatment, but all three have now been released.
