46 year old Jonathan Dolan, formerly of Colepark Green in Ballyfermot, and recently living in a hostel at Manor Street in Dublin 7 has been charged with violent disorder and viciously assaulting two Gardaí, and has been refused bail.
He faced objections to bail due to the seriousness of the case and fears he would not turn up for his trial.
Gardai told the court that after his arrest he was brought from Clondalkin Garda Station to hospital because he had a broken knuckle.
He's been remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on Friday.
