Transport Minister, Eamon Ryan, only learned about the cost yesterday.

The OPW is in the spotlight over the cost of a bike shed at Leinster House.

It cost more than €335,000 and has storage space for 18 bikes.

Transport Minister, Eamon Ryan, only learned about the cost yesterday.

At a press conference today, he said: "I look forward to listening to the OPW and talking to the OPW as to why it was so expensive."

He added: ''They may have their own reasons, but I must admit I was shocked when I saw the price, we need to do things cheaper than that all over the country."
