Tributes are being paid to an Irish woman who was found dead at an apartment in New York over the weekend.
39-year-old Denise Morgan's body was discovered by Police in Queens on Saturday.
Early on Saturday morning, police responded to reports of gunshots in the Glendale area of Queens in New York.
Officers arrived to the scene, where they discovered the body of 39 year old Denise Morgan, along with the body of a 33 year old man who was known to her.
In a statement, police say a firearm was recovered in the vicinity of the deceased male.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
'The Cottage Bar Restaurant' in Queens where Denise worked, said they've been left with a deep sense of shock and sorrow, and her warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed'.
She's also been remembered by the people of Tullyallen near Drogheda in county Louth - where she was from.
Prayers for her family were said at mass at the Church of the Assumption in Tullyallen over the weekend.
