Nestlé has failed to find a buyer to date for its factory in Limerick which will close in 2025.
It was announced yesterday afternoon that over 500 staff would be at risk of redundancy due to the closure of Wyeth Nutrition in Askeaton.
In addition to the staff employed directory at the site, local representatives say there are hundreds more contract workers who will be impacted.
Cathoirleach of the Adare-Rathkeale district, Adam Teskey, says these workers depend on these jobs and need a solution:
