Boxing May Be A Step Closer To Be Included In 2028 LA Olympics

The International Olympic Committee has provisionally recognised a relatively new boxing governing body

The International Olympic Committee's provisionally recognised a relatively new boxing governing body - which could save the sport from being excluded from the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

Boxing not currently on the programme.

The IOC ran the events at Paris 2024, having ended ties with the International Boxing Association due to governance and financial issues.

World Boxing - founded two years ago - has welcomed the development but says there's "work to do".
