He was central to Ireland's Grand Slam win against England at the Aviva Stadium earlier this year, as well as being one of the top players at this year's Rugby World Cup in France.
Ireland coach Andy Farrell is up for the Coach of the Year gong.
The World Rugby Awards take place at the Opéra Garnier in Paris on Sunday, the 29th of October, following the final of the Rugby World Cup 2023 at Stade de France.
