Tim Clancy has revealed that Cork City's owner, Straffan resident Dermot Usher, expects him to win the First Division title in his first year in charge.
The former Drogheda United manager resigned as manager of St Patrick's Athletic last May.
He was appointed as the new City boss at the end of last month.
Clancy accepts that he is under pressure from day one.
