Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced the funding today
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has announced 50-million euro in funding for the controversial redevelopment of Casement Park.
The money has been released through the coalition's Shared Island initiative.
There is no current figure on the build out of the 34-thousand-seater stadium, but it could be anything up to 233-million euro.
The Stormont Executive is living within a tight budgetary framework so extra money will have to come from the British government.
