The search for a new manager for the senior football team is underway.
Kildare GAA last night named Michael McGeehan as their new consultant as they begin their search for Jack O'Connor's successor.
O'Connor announced on Monday morning that he would be resigning from his role after two years in charge.
Mr. McGeehan, a native of Co. Donegal, is Director of Sport at Sport Ireland and has been appointed to a committee which also includes other county board delegates, who will carry out a series of interviews for the position.
The closing date for applications is Friday 17th September at 5pm.
