Mixed Weekend For Kildare GAA Teams As Footballers Face Relegation Battle

Glenn Ryan's side lost to Meath

The Kildare footballers are without a win after 4 League games, the first time Kildare has lost 4 consecutive League matches.

Yesterday, despite a much improved performance, and with the sides level after 63 mintues, Kildare conceded 3 points in the remaining 11 minutes, including 4 minutes of added time.

Final score: Meath 012 Kildare 0-9.

The win ensures Meath’s Division 2 place for next season, while Kildare are now facing relegation.

Kildare are away to Cork next Sunday at 3pm and Kfm will have commentary, in association with Hanlon Concrete Robertstown and live updates from the women’s game.

The Kildare hurlers were also in League action yesterday away to Down in Ballycran, and came away with a draw - 1-24 each, but it included two missed Kildare pernalties.

Kildare Camogie side, opened their Very National League Division 3A against Laois in Hawkfield on Saturday.
