The takeover of Chelsea by the Todd Boehly led consortium has cleared its final hurdle - with Portugal and Europe agreeing to the deal.
Approval was needed from the country because Roman Abramovich obtained Portugese citizenship last year.
While Europe's permission was required, having followed Britain in sanctioning the Russian oligarch.
In a statement, Portuguese officials "gave authorisation" for the £4.25 billion sale to go ahead with the guarantee that proceeds "will be used for humanitarian purposes".
