Dutch police will use a television programme tonight to try to identify hooligans who caused trouble during West Ham's Europa Conference League match at AZ Alkmaar last week.

Photos of suspects will be broadcast to ask the public to help with identification.

Police have set a deadline of 4pm today for anyone involved in the ugly scenes to come forward if they don't want their photograph put on national TV.

Glasgow Warriors coach Franco Smith has been named BKT United Rugby Championship Coach of the Season.

The South African brought the Warriors to the quarter-finals of the URC in his debut season, while they also reached the final of the EPCR Challenge Cup.

The former Italy head coach arrived at Scotstoun last summer.

The Warriors finished fourth in the regular season of the URC, going unbeaten at home

 

English Premiership rugby Newcastle have signed Meath native Hugh O'Sullivan from London Irish.

The scrum-half becomes the tenth new arrival at the club.

O'Sullivan previously played with Leinster and also Ireland at under-20 level.

Former world number one Simona Halep has accused the International Tennis Integrity Agency of seeking to further delay her independent tribunal doping hearing and said she is being denied her right to be heard.

The 31-year-old former Wimbledon and French Open champion has been provisionally suspended since October 2022 after testing positive for banned blood-booster roxadustat at the US Open last year.

Halep has strongly denied knowingly taking the banned substance
