A drug-impaired driver, an untaxed vehicle overdue by 861 days, and several uninsured drivers.
Those are just some of the road incidents the Naas Roads Policing Unit dealt with in Kildare this week.
The Naas Roads Policing Unit, in collaboration with the Road Safety Authority (RSA), the Health and Safety Authority, Customs and Excise, the Department of Social Protection, and Kildare County Council environmental inspectors, conducted checkpoints on the R148 and R403.
As a result, four vehicles were seized.
Among them was a car driven by an unaccompanied learner permit holder, two vehicles operated by uninsured drivers, and one that had remained untaxed for an astonishing 861 days.

Additionally, RSA officials inspected a heavy goods vehicle (HGV), which was subsequently deemed "dangerous and defective" and confiscated by Gardaí.
The more serious violations will proceed to prosecution.
A new road safety campaign is taking place this weekend - with a particular focus on drink or drug driving.
The operation came into place at 7am yesterday morning around the country.
Gardai say they are catching someone driving under the influence of drink or drugs every hour.
