A man in his 30s remains in custody at Newbridge Garda Station.
The man, aged in his 40s, who was discovered with serious injuries at approximately 10:30am on Wednesday 8th March 2023 outside a residence in the Piercetown area of Newbridge, has been pronounced dead at Naas General Hospital.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
An incident room has been established at Newbridge Garda Station and an investigation is continuing under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO).
The man in his 30s who was arrested as part of this investigation remains detained at Newbridge Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
