Kildare's newest respite centre will be open before the end of the year.
The facility will be managed by KARE, the Kildare organisation which provides services and supports to people who have an intellectual disability and their families.
The centre will cater to the people of Kildare, Wicklow West, Dublin West, Dublin South City, Dublin South West.
It will include an after-school respite for children till 8pm and additional overnight respite for children with additional support needs.
