The Rental Tenancies Board Rent Index for quarter 3 of 2021 reveals the average rent in Co. Kildare is €1,437.81, per month, in the third quarter of 2021.
The county's average rent is higher than the national rate, which is €1,397, per month.
The RTB study found price inflation is now at 8.3% - the highest level since quarter 4 of 2017.
Dublin remains the county with the highest average rent, at €1,916, while Leitrim has the lowest at €731.
12 counties now have average rents of more than €1,000 euro per month.
They include Carlow, Louth, Kilkenny and Waterford.

The average price of renting in Co. Kildare increased by 14.5% compared to Q3 2020.

The government has been urged to bring in a rent freeze as price rises are "out of control", according to an opposition party.
Social Democrats housing spokesman Cian O’Callaghan says the increases are unsustainable:
