Cabinet To Approve €2BN Funding For Uisce Éireann

The money is specifically to be used to housing housing targets

Cabinet Ministers will meet for the final time before their summer break today.

The main topics to be discussed surround road traffic systems, including new rules for e-scooters and a bill to get rid of paper motor tax discs.

Government is also set to approve an additional €2billion in funding for Uisce Éireann.

The money is specifically to be used to housing housing targets and will have strict criteria saying it can only be used for housing.

The promise to inject extra cash into the water system was made in the National Development Plan.
