The girl was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where she died from her injuries in the early hours of this morning.
An investigation is under way after a girl died following an assault at a residence in Co Wexford last night.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene in New Ross at approximately 11.45pm.

A woman and a man, both in their 30s, are being treated at University Hospital Wexford, for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The scene remains preserved for forensic examination.
The coroner has been notified and the Garda Technical Bureau and Office of the State Pathologist have been requested.
