Dublin is more expensive than Paris and Amsterdam.
Dublin has made it into the top 10 most expensive cities in Europe moving up from 13th place last year to 9th this year.
In the world rankings Dublin has risen six places to 38th.
This latest ECA international Cost of Living report has revealed that two-thirds of Eurozone cities have risen in the Cost of Living ranking due mainly to the increasing rate of inflation driven by rapidly rising food prices.
Food prices globally have risen by around 15% on average in the last year.
Geneva remains the most expensive location in Europe and the third most expensive in the world for expatriates. London holds on to second spot while Zurich is third.
