A man has appeared in court following a public order incident involving a knife in County Louth last night.

The court heard that Gardai responded to a report of an ongoing domestic disturbance at a house in the Cox’s area of Dundalk last night.
Gardai said they were made aware that a 31 year old man was threatening to harm himself with a knife.
He then ran towards a car park where gardai allege he was ‘aggressive’.
The court heard the man allegedly ran towards gardai, shouting, "Get back".
Gardai from the armed support unit used what they describe as a less lethal 40 millimetre launcher to disarm the man and arrest him.
He is charged with having a sharply pointed carving knife, two counts of using or engaging in threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour and breaching a barring order.
Judge Stephanie Coggans told the court the accused could not be identified.
She granted bail with conditions.
