Higher attendances part of government plans to ease of restrictions

The Sports Minister says the number of fans allowed at matches will continue to increase for the rest of the year.

40,000 people will be able to go to the All-Ireland football and hurling finals next month - with 24,000 at the semi-finals.

The government made the announcement yesterday, as part of the easing of Covid -19 restrictions.

Minister of State, Jack Chambers, says attendances will grow more over the autumn and winter.
