As the world marks Autism Month, a walk is taking place at Dublin's Malahide Castle, Lough Key Forest Park in Roscommon, and other venues across the country today.
Over a thousand people are due to attend the AsIAm Same Chance Walk for Autism in Dublin alone.
The family event will be attended by actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell, along with her 12 year old autistic daughter Clay.
AsIAm CEO Adam Harris says autistic people deserve the same chances as everyone else.
