Investigation Underway After Submachine Gun Fell From The Boot Of Garda Car

A bag, containing the gun and some ammunition, was found by a member of the public, who flagged down another Garda car and handed it over, according to the Irish Times.

According to the Irish Times, the gun fell out of the boot of an official garda vehicle being used by the specialist Armed Response Unit.

It's the second time a weapon has fallen from the boot of a garda car in the city - In 2018 the same type of submachine gun was found by a member of the public who handed it in to Store St. Garda station.
