The Irish Red Cross is encouraging anyone that has free space in their house or free accommodation to make it available to Ukrainian refugees.
Over 4,000 people in Ireland have so far offered a spare room or vacant property for Ukrainian refugees.
The figure stood at 180 last Friday.
More than one-point-seven million people have fled Ukraine in the past two weeks, since Russia's invasion.
Ireland is expected to take in around 100,000 refugees.
People who would like to make offers of accommodation can be made online at Red Cross.
Secretary General of the Irish Red Cross, Liam O'Dwyer, says those who pledge accommodation will receive a follow up phone call:
