A woman has appeared in court, charged as part of an investigation into an organised crime group in Louth.
It follows the search of a number of homes and the seizure of weapons by Gardaí on Friday.
Ciara Brady of Cedarwood Park in Dundalk appeared before Dundalk District Court this afternoon.
She’s charged with a total of six offences, including four charges of possessing firearms and two of possessing ammunition.
The court heard she made no reply when charged.
The 34-year-old, who was without a solicitor in court due to the ongoing legal aid strike, was granted bail with conditions, including that she surrenders her passport and signs on twice a week at Dundalk Garda station.
The accused is due to appear before the same court again on 25 November for DPP directions.
