A man aged in his 30s was arrested this morning, and is being questioned at a garda station in County Wicklow
A man has been arrested in relation to a serious public order incident in Aughrim, County Wicklow earlier this week.
Gardaí say they responded to reports of a large group of people gathered outside a vacant building undergoing works in Aughrim on Monday evening.
Workers were allegedly subjected to abuse, and gardaí who attended the scene were also subjected to abuse.
As part of a criminal investigation into incident, a man aged in his 30s was arrested this morning, and is being questioned at a garda station in County Wicklow.
He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Investigations are ongoing.
