Overnight Clashes In France Leave Two People Dead and 192 People Injured

Violence erupts during celebrations of PSG's Champion League victory.

Two people have died and hundreds were arrested in France overnight as clashes broke out following Paris-Saint-Germain's victory in the Champions League final.

192 people were injured including 22 security workers and seven firefighters.

More than 500 people have been arrested across the country, including 491 in Paris - where 5,400 police were deployed using a water cannon, tear-gas and pepper spray.

FRANCE 24's Charlotte Hughes says angry crowds converged in Paris on the Champs-Élysées.
