New restrictions on private cars in Dublin are now in place, with phase two of the city's transport plan now in effect.
From today, the left turn from Westland Row to Pearse Street is restricted to public transport and cyclists only.
The changes are designed to prioritise buses, cyclists and future infrastructure like MetroLink and DART+.
Green Party councillor Hazel Chu says there will always be differing opinions around such measures - but thinks this is the right way forward:
